We are pleased to accept many items that help us serve hundreds of families annually. All canned and perishable foods are always welcomed, especially fresh produce, coffee, tea, sugar and condiments. Many groups and families ask that caterers drop party leftovers by the shelter for residents to enjoy, which is always a welcomed surprise! We are also always in need of paper products, such as towels, napkins and toilet tissue. Personal hygiene or beauty products are also well received by those who often come to the shelter with very little. “Project Start Over” helps families do just that. Your gently used furniture and household goods will be distributed to families as they leave the shelter and set up housekeeping. Donations are accepted Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and are tax deductible. We don’t typically have any means of picking up donations, but please contact us at 573-686-4873 or admin@havenhousepoplarbluff.org if you have questions.
